I received my custom porcelain sculpture from Endless Whimsy this week and I am so excited to share the photos with you. Ever since seeing the ‘in progress’ photo, I’ve been waiting to be able to see the finished product in person. Apparently it arrived at my local post office a good two weeks ago, and they’d neglected to let me know.
Luckily for me I had another package arrive which Mr. J picked up and he was able to save my mini Train from being shipped back to the US at the same time. I’m very glad they held onto it for so long though, they usually only wait a week before returning items back to the sender as ‘unclaimed’.
Enough talk, here are the photos:

How adorable is it? I think I let out an audible ‘squee!’ when I unwrapped it. It is great quality, and the colourings are so detailed. It’s also got her name written on her belly. Of course, then we had to introduce Mini Train to Big Train…

She had a good sniff, then decided her dinner was a much more important subject.
Mini Train now sits on my desk at home. When I first ordered her I thought I’d add it to my collection of random awesome cat things that I’ve been given over the years, but she fits so nicely just under my monitor I think she might stay there for awhile. :)
I would wholeheartedly recommend Endless Whimsy for a custom sculpture, or any other of her products. While it did take some time to make and receive (and Australia Post certainly didn’t help!), it was well worth the wait. If you’re wanting to know specific time frames before you order, I’d suggest emailing or Etsy Conversation’ing her to confirm.
You can also follow Endless Whimsy’s blog if you just want to see photos of other awesome custom sculptures and new products.

She is so cute! What a wonderful job she did on the tortie colouring. I’ve been considering one of the Endless Whimsy tributes, and seeing mini-Train has pushed me over the edge:)

I can’t recommend her enough. I am so pleased with the way Train turned out. If you do purchase a tribute or two, I’d love to see photos of the final product :)
