Ten little mice.

by savvycat on July 3, 2009

While I was at the Cat Protection Society last weekend I picked up a packet of ten mice for Train. She’s not getting them all at once, but Train is an absolute MASTER at losing small toys, so I’m keeping some as backups. I’m certain when we move out from this place we’re going to find millions of hair ties, little mice and bottle rings.

My preference would be to just give her bigger toys, but she gets so much more entertainment out of the little ones I can’t withhold them from her!

Ten little mice.

They caught my eye immediately because of their colours. Train seems to find them a great size to play with… and to carry around in her mouth looking for that perfect spot to leave them. That perfect spot happens to be anywhere they’ll get in my way, it seems. In the bed so I’ll get a surprise in the middle of the night, in the hallway so I can step on them in the morning… and she’s also managed to put one in my work shoes. Not a bad effort really.

She has been quite rough with them, but everything (so far!) has stayed intact, which is a good sign! The ten mice were AU $19.95, or you could by individual mice for AU $2 each (from memory).

They are very cute. I like KraMar mice- they seem to last that bit longer than most. I haven’t had much luck finding them recently, so it’s good to know the Cat Protection Society has them.

I’ve also seen the KraMar mice sold individually at Petbarn – although that is in Sydney, but I’m pretty sure Queensland would have similar stock :)
