Recycled cardboard kitty pad.

by savvycat on June 19, 2009

Over at Design*Sponge there is a great instructional on how to create a recycled kitty scratcher / pad with cardboard.

It turned out to be pretty simple, Mr J whipped one up one afternoon with the cardboard packaging we had left over from our rental friendly cat run.

Well used.

While ours isn’t as pretty or as large, Train took straight to it. We weren’t sure if she’d realise she could use it as a scratching pad, but she didn’t take long to figure it out. She also uses it as a little step to get up on our desks – although she certainly doesn’t need it.

When she’s worn the top out, we’ll just cut a slice off and give it back to her good as new. Well, until it gets too small to use, I guess.
