I have heard so many good things about Jake & Micah and their awesome catnip infused toys. While many catnip toys are available in Australia, I have not seen anything with the same awesome designs and quality stitching. I always figured that catnip would be banned by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS), but while doing a little research tonight and searching their Import Conditions Database, it seems that for non-commercial use, it should be fine: as long as the material in the package clearly labeled with the botanical name (in this case Nepeta cataria, dried) and that is thoroughly dried and not capable of propagation.
So, with that in mind, I placed my first order with Jake & Micah and will be waiting eagerly for my package! Unfortunately the exchange rates are less than favourable right now (1 USD = 1.55 AUD) but I should be able to afford it with Kevin Rudd’s tax bonus payment. (Oh, the hilarity. At least I’m helping the American economy…)
.Will update the blog with a review when they do arrive – complete with photos of savvy cat’s own Train – the official cat product tester:

Have you ever purchased from Jake & Micah before? Did you like their products? Or have you seen similar quality locally? Let me know in the comments.
